Out and About Aurora: 4th Annual Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership Course Celebration 🎉 I recently had the honour of attending the graduation for Aurora’s Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership Course. 💪 While not widely known, this unique program gives female and gender-diverse high school students the opportunity to earn a Grade 12 credit while developing skills, confidence, and knowledge related to health and leadership. I was impressed by the dedication of the organizers/instructors, who are passionate about creating safe and supportive spaces where young people can explore their leadership potential and grow. Having grown up in Aurora and now raising two young daughters here, it means a great deal to see initiatives investing in the next generation of leaders. When young people are encouraged to use their voices, they are more likely to feel included, contribute to their communities, and step into future leadership roles. Congratulations to this year’s graduates! We look forward to seeing what you will accomplish in the years ahead. 👏 #exploreaurora #seewhatshecando #auroraontario #womeninsport #womeninleadership aurorafamilies yorkregion jumpstart aurorarecreation aurorasport yorkregionmoms aurorateens
#SWSCD is grateful and proud to have the backs of athletes who are inspired to be their best and have fun doing it. Our passion to play sports is often driven by our dreams to make it ‘big’ in our chosen sport. For athletes, the drive to be the best is what drives their vision of what’s achievable. As spectators we often only get to see the end result of years of commitment, sacrifice and hard work. For @teamharmstrong earning a spot to represent Ontario in the 2026 @CurlingCanada #Scotties Tournament Of Hearts was their moment to make it big. Now that the lights and excitement of their #STOH moment have faded, and knowing that the team has decided to play with different teams for the upcoming season, taking some time to reflect on their success one last time as teammates is exactly what they’ve chosen to share in their latest #SWSCD Team Armstrong blog. Head to our bio and find a link to their blog and take some time to enjoy a real, authentic and honest take on how they felt to reach their ultimate goal of playing in the Scotties - the pinnacle of women’s competitive curling in Canada. #SeeWhatSheCanDo #BeCelebrated GetInspired InTheirOwnWords (First pic courtesy of Team Armstrong.
