In order to recognize the achievements of individuals from across the country Ultimate Canada operates an annual Awards program. Recipients are nominated by the community. Nominations are due November 20. The award categories are: Coach of the Year, Junior Female Athlete of the Year, Junior Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, and Spirit of the Game Award! Sam is making her leadership debut with the Mustangs this season. Schulz is a powerhouse cutter who expertly commands space while posing as an intimidating dead threat to any team. Her presence on the sideline is invaluable, with her wealth of knowledge, unwavering support, and calming presence. ————————- Name: Sherry Liu Program: Honors Business Administration, 4th Year Position: Handler Favourite on campus meal: Caesar wrap from the Spoke This year will be Sherry’s first year as a Captain for the purple and white. Known for her convincing fakes and commanding presence, Sherry is one of our most consistent players who is a natural leader on the Mustangs lineup. Sherry comes with extensive knowledge, as a Toro, Tox6ix, and Elites Coaching alumni. ——————————- Name: Carla Rawson Program: Master of Media in Journalism and Communication Position: Handler Favourite on campus meal: Buff Wrap with a side salad from the Spoke This year marks Carla’s third year as a Captain for the Mustangs. Carla is one of the most versatile throwers in the women’s scene with big pulls and deadly breaks. The veteran handler brings almost a decade of playing and coaching experience, with seasons on PPF, Tox6ix, Toro, and Team Canada under her belt. 📷: @edkto
