As the inaugural Ontario Women’s Cycling Month comes to an end, we want to offer our sincere gratitude to each of the phenomenal women who have so generously shared their stories with us. But this month was not just about promotion and recognition of so many valuable community contributors but was also about showing how diverse and vibrant the cycling community is. We read how cycling has brought joy, freedom, and friendship and we saw how it really doesn’t matter what your favourite discipline is or your level of riding – cycling truly is for everyone. Throughout the month of March, OC highlighted 34 female riders, clubs, and initiatives, hosted 2 bike maintenance sessions at local bike shops (Thank you BikeFit and D’Ornellas!), 7 webinar sessions covering women’s nutrition, mental health, saddle health, road safety, ride leader training and 2 women’s Zwift rides hosted by our very own Athlete Director, Siobhan Kelly. A huge thank you to all who helped make these activities happen! Moving forward OC will continue to host female cycling content and resources on our Women & Girls in Cycling webpage: linktr.ee/ontariocycling The recordings of past webinars, information on club rides, teams and female initiatives will continue to be added to as this page will be a permanent section on our website. Please feel free to reach out to info@ontariocycling.org if you have any ideas for future topics or resource requests. We hope, like us, that you enjoyed following along this month! A special thank you to our Gender Equity Committee for their help and support in the planning of this month! #DiscoverOntarioCycling #OntarioCycling #SWSCD #OCGenderEquity #GenderEquityCycling #InspireInclusion #InvestinWomen #OCWomensMonth #ONWomensRideDay #OntarioCyclingWomens #WeRideAsOne

Club rides are fun and non-competitive and provide an opportunity for women to grow as mountain bikers.
