The Town of Aurora deemed the development of a Sport Plan a priority. The purpose of the Sport Plan is to address the sport needs of the growing and active community and place focus on increasing participation in sport. A key priority of the Town is to address the gender equity gap in athletes, coaches, official and volunteers. In collaboration with community partners, the Town of Aurora is leading a number of initiatives to address the gap in participation of women and girls in sport.
