Gender Equity in Aurora
Town of Aurora in partnership with Canadian Women & Sport, Local Sport Organizations and community members evaluated gender equity in sport within the community. As a result of the evaluation, six priority gaps were identified and include the following:
- Governance Structure
- Awareness
- Innovative Partnerships
- Promote Females in Sport
- Innovative Recruitment & Retention
- Innovative Programming
Town of Aurora is creating a Sport Equity & Inclusion Committee to lead the execution of the priorities and provide expertise to the sport community. Reach out to the Town of Aurora to learn more.
