The Pickleball Canada National Championships are just about here and the event's hosts - the Kingston Pickleball Club - are excited to welcome players of all ages from across Canada and the United States to their doorstep. The event itself will be skill based and will be played indoors on 28 courts. The National Championships is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament that applies International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) rules to all games.
“We are proud to host the National Championships for the first time. Kingston welcomes players from all over Canada, and invites the public to acquaint themselves with this new rapidly growing sport,” said Tournament Director Ryan Hanes
The National Championships competition structure is based on skill level and age. Competitors have the opportunity to compete as an individual or as a pair in the Men's, Women's and Mixed Categories. Doubles competitions will be broken down further by these specific age groups including 14+, 35+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+. Singles competitions will also be broken down further by age groups which will include 14+, 35+, 50+, 65+. In addition to both the Singles and Doubles divisions, there will also be an Open division in all Men's Women's and Mixed events. Open events are only available to players that have a 4.5 plus skill level. All Open events will also have prize money available to be won.
Schedule of Events
Opening Ceremonies will be held each morning at 8:00. First matches for each day of the Championships will then officially begin at 8:15 am. The schedule has been designed so that those events with the largest draws will be the first events to be played on each day.
• Women’s Doubles - Friday, June 28
• Men’s Singles – Friday, June 28
• Mixed Doubles - Saturday Jun 29
• Men's Doubles - Sunday, June 30
• Women's Singles - Sunday, June 30
Pickleball Canada's National Championships is an excellent event for the national association to showcase some of best female and male provincial pickleball players from across Canada and even into the United States. All matches will take place at the Invista Centre.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America, with some 50,000 participants. Pickleball Canada Organization (PCO) currently has 16,500 registered participants and some 500 of them will be converging in Kingston for the Championships.
