Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC) is excited to welcome the New Brunswick Sport Climbing (NBSC) as the newest member of the CEC. The NBSC is also recognized as the official Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) for competition climbing in New Brunswick. The NBSC was incorporated in 2022, and has grown steadily over the past two years. NBSC becomes the seventh PTSO to join the CEC family, and the CEC looks forward to working with NBSC in the future.

NBSC will have an important voice in helping CEC shape the direction of competition climbing in the years to come” says Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of CEC.
CEC is Canada’s national governing body for the sport of competition climbing. The purpose of CEC is to lead the promotion and development of competition climbing in Canada for athletes and the extended climbing community. CEC strives to enable athletes to achieve high performance potential in a safe, ethical, and equitable competition environment.
This ambitious purpose could not be achieved without the help and support of the Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSO) and the Alpine Club of Canada. NBSC’s goal is to promote and develop competition climbing in New Brunswick for athletes, and the extended climbing community.
