SeeWhatSheCanDo excited to partner again with Team Brandwood this curling season

Aurora, Ontario - As the 2023-2024 competitive curling season gets well underway, SeeWhatSheCanDo (SWSCD) is excited to announce their continued support of elite level women’s curling in Ontario.  SWSCD will once again partner with Team Brandwood, a high level team with both national and international curling experience. This year, Team Brandwood will have a few new faces but will still have the same deep drive to represent Ontario at Curling Canada's 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Lead by skip Chelsea Brandwood and together with Megan Smith at vice, Brenda Chapman at second and Keira McLaughlin at lead, the team is scheduled to compete in seven events on the World Curling Tour in 2023. They will also be coached by John Gabel for the 2023-2024 season.

“Our partnership with Team Brandwood right from the start has been about sharing our mutual passions for showcasing the exceptional play at the elite level of curling and to grow the awareness around the many talented athletes who compete to be the best in their respective provinces and their competitive efforts to represent Canada in international play. Together we are also driven to inspire more women and girls to play the great game of curling.” shared Caroline Wiley, President and Co-Founder of SWSCD.

Team Brandwood is also happy to celebrate the continued collaboration with SWSCD this season. "We are thrilled to be partnering with SWSCD again for the 2023-2024 curling season. They have provided us with so much support over the last four seasons, to not only chase our dreams, but bring more awareness to the sport of women's curling. With the help of SWSCD, we have been able to compete all over Ontario, run Learn-to-Curl sessions, and spread awareness about athletic opportunities in the community through their platform. We're looking forward to another great year with SWSCD and getting more women on the ice!”

Team Brandwood got their season started this past weekend in Oakville, Ontario in the Stu Sells Tankard, an early season premier curling event and the kick off to the Stu Sells Series. They also head to Kitchener-Waterloo this weekend (September 15th-17th) to compete in the KW Fall Classic.
