Former NGCC youth program members off to Provincial Championships

This year, the North Grenville Curling Club youth program will be well represented in provincial competitions. Team Acres out of the RCMP Curling Club will be competing in this year’s U18 Provincial championship. Their lead (Mya Sharpe) began her curling career right here in Kemptville with the NGCC Little Rocks program.

Another former curler in the NGCC Youth Program will be competing with her team at the Ontario Winter Games held in Renfrew County. Rhiannon Beckstead had been curling out of Morrisburg but made a move to NGCC for two seasons in the quest to develop on a more competitive level. She now plays third on Team Rest, curling out of the RA Centre.
